On June 17th 2008, I received the news that my mum had taken her own life. She was the second daughter my nanna lost to mental health and, heartbreakingly, not the last.

By 2020, I had lost my mum and two aunties to suicide. I was also walking through a long and painful infertility journey, and I found myself wondering what life was supposed to look like from here. Lost, unanchored, exhausted in every way.

I've always loved candles, the way a fragrance can shift the atmosphere of a room, soften a moment, or spark a sense of peace. In late 2020, I began learning how to make them. What started as a creative outlet became a source of healing. Each candle helped me express what words couldn't, reconnect with my creativity, and rebuild a sense of purpose.

My name, Claire, means light. I didn't fully understand why that mattered until I was pouring candles in my kitchen at 10pm, crying and healing at the same time.

That's how Morro & Co was born.

And it's why you'll never experience a fragrance quite like ours. There is something deeply personal woven into each one, a quiet reminder that your story isn't finished, and that brighter chapters are still ahead.
